Today I told Josh about my engagement. The first word out of his mouth was a cuss word. He had a lot of questions which would be expected, considering I really haven’t kept him in the loop. And he told me of his college love and how he didn’t marry her but could have and would have been happy, essentially saying he doesn’t think there is one set person for each of us. And concluded with: I’m happy for you. Which I know he is, he was very shocked though, ha. He has known me since I was a 3 yo in pre-school and has been my teacher and mentor since middle school. I’m his first student to get married and we have always been very good friends. But his shock was so amusing, he had to show everyone we saw my ring, it was so weird to see him like that. I wish we had had more time to talk, I miss our conversations. I haven’t told Linda yet, I think that bridge can wait to get crossed.
