Mother’s Powerful Words

Posted on Aug 4, 2008 by | 2 comments

My mother bore her testimony today in Sacrament. It was so, oh which word to choose… awesome, sweet, different, lovely, meaningful, beautiful, amusing, humbling? well, I guess all of them. She kept her eyes timidly closed the entire time; she just wanted to say what she had to say and not worry about the congregation. She started her testimony with, “I don’t know much but I do know this: this is the true church and Jesus is the Christ.” It was humble and beautiful and so wonderful to hear my mother give her testimony. She means so much to me and her recent reactivation is cause for much joy in my heart. I love hearing about her faith, it is apparent in all of her actions and her demeanor, but her love and faith means so much more to me when I know she recognizes it as such as well. Thanks mom for being such a great example to me, and for being the first in our family to find, and love the truth. I love you! (She is such a great mom!)
