Date Night with the VSO

Posted on Sep 4, 2009 by | 0 comments

Yesterday, Jacob came home with a gift he had picked-up at a company party, and with that knowledge I assumed I wouldn’t like it at all…I was wrong. It was a Terrible Towel!!! Boo-yah! I love it and Jacob so much. After dinner, we gathered a blanket and some water and went to campus. The Virginia Symphony Orchestra was performing a show at the Lake Matoaka Amphitheater.

We found what seemed like the last free plot of grass and set down our blanket. I absolutely love watching music be made, it was so peaceful and beautiful. Jacob soon laid back on the blanket at watched the sky and the bats. The night was perfect for such an event and we really liked it. I do not know much about music, except that I can’t make it or dance to it. But I really enjoyed last night’s captivating performance. We walked out on a house full of dishes to be washed and clothes to be folded, but it was alright. We loved relaxing and dating, and running into friends we know (like, Sarah and Joey). I hope the year is full of experiences like this.
