One in the Oven
Jacob and I are so very excited to announce that we are expecting a little one! Our gift is supposed to join our family around May 15th. I’ve been blessed all semester knowing about this but not feeling any side-effects. Well, maybe I was a bit tired at the start of the second trimester but that coincided with midterms so it could have just be grad-school life.
Here we are, though, at 18 weeks. On Wednesday we go in for the important ultrasound :D. We are pretty excited to find out who to expect. Jacob won’t let me pick names until we know the gender. I’m still going to make him pick two names, so I don’t know why he is dragging his feet.
All of our doctor visits have gone well. Yale has a wonderful OB/Gyn department. At around 8 weeks we went in for our first appointment and here are the first pictures of our lovely bundle of bean:
There has obviously been some growth in the past several months. I still fit in all my clothes but am noticing the tightness, especially in some of my favorite (fitted) blouses. My belly is just starting to get hard and a pinch bigger. Maybe I’ll get some maternity clothes for Christmas!
Congrats!
