When Jacob was younger the site of the current LDS temple in Folsom was called the Mormon Center.  It was a country club before the church bought it and used it for all sorts of activities.  It must’ve been fun having a swimming pool, and plenty of other courts and diamonds, in your stake!  It is beautifully situated at the top of a hill overlooking the town, so when the church was looking to build a temple, it was the perfect spot.  Plus, it was also already payed for.  So now the pool has been filled in and the baseball diamonds covered with grass.  But the temple has a lot of beautiful landscaped park around it since they had the land.  We went to enjoy it during our stay in Folsom.  We never made time to go inside but Anna played with Daddy on the grounds and we reverently walked around and enjoyed the feeling of that place.  The town of Folsom is now about 12% Mormon.  And who wouldn’t want to be so close to such a lovely temple?  Here is a little video of my two cutie pies near the temple.  You can see the side of the temple in the background.
