Left on a Jet Plane

Last weekend, Jacob and Anna took a mid-winter vacation to South Carolina to visit the Allred Grandparents.  They flew out early Friday morning and had a fun weekend with Jacob’s parents.  On Saturday, they went to the zoo.  Anna got to feed a giraffe and check out some birds up close.  Jacob says they were the only two not to get pooed on, luckies.  Anna wasn’t sure of what to make of the Allred’s dog, Daisy, when she first got there, but Jacob says Anna was all too happy chasing her around after their trip to the zoo.  Jacob got sick while down there but they made it home in one piece.  I’m grateful that the Allreds took care of my baby and husband for a while and I’m amazed at Jacob’s parenting skills every single day.  I’m not sure I’d want to be the lone parent with an 8 month old boarding a plane but he was great.  I’m a little jealous of their vacation, but my friends picked up the slack while my family was gone and I think my schedule was more booked than usual.  I am very glad to have my loves back.
