One month older, and wiser too

5 little old months.  That’s it.  That is the entire time my life has been turned upside down and been bursting at the seams with love.  To be honest I can hardly remember my life before this little thing invaded it, and I’m ok with that.

Anna is so happy!  She spent the past week smiling while playing with relatives.  She loves any activity involving a blankie including parachute, peek-a-boo, hide and seek, and of course noming.  Hide and seek is Jacob’s personal favorite because he can do it on the couch, feet away from the girl he plays with and holds all day long.  I have to admit I like to see my adorable baby being so in control of her apendages: she pulls the blanket up, we verbally look for her (“where did Anna go?”), then she peeks her head out while pulling down the blanket to reveal her big eyes, “I found her!”.  Man, that cracks her up.

We bought some real rice cereal and gave the whole “real” food thing another chance.  Oh boy did she eat that up!  I’m not exactly sure how much food actually made it into her stomach but she sure did have fun eating.  Every time the spoon would approach her mouth she would open it wide and clamp down sometimes even before the spoon reached its destination.  She also tried a few times to grab the spoon and help with her left hand.  Adorable.

She is also starting to feel comfortable using her arms now.  She has been doing the yoga cobra pose for a few weeks.  The first time she did it she was exhausted after just getting up there, I think she directly followed it with a nap. It’s a tough life being a baby.
