Wednesday with Kate
Every morning I saw Kate while she was visiting I said I couldn’t believe how long her hair is! I remember short, flippy-ends hair Kate. She responded that she remembered me not having posterity. I guess that is a new development as well. It was so great to have my Kate back, if only for a couple days, to talk about our life’s plans and God’s hand in it. I loved chatting with her about my baby, our families, and school.
I did have to go back to work eventually, even though I wanted to spend my whole spring break with Kate. But Wednesday morning we decided to go for a hike and enjoy the continuation of the good weather. Jacob, Anna, and I took Kate up to West Rock. We put Anna in the baby hiking backpack and up the hill we went. Not only was the weather great but at 10 am on a Tuesday morning the only other person at the park was one maintenance guy blowing the leaves off the baseball diamond. We took a break at the top before heading back down. Jacob climbed all over the rocks while Kate danced with Anna. I’m so glad we got to squeeze in some more Kate time before she had to go. We are so lucky to have such a friend as Kate.
