Spring is Here
I love love love this emerging spring. This past winter was dark. I’d spent two winters in a basement, not expecting to see the sun, however, seeing it for just a short amount of time proved even more difficult. But here we are, survivors. The buds are turning into flowers now and the weather is fully enjoyable now that it is mid-April.
Yesterday, Jacob took us ladies for a little nature walk in the beautiful park behind our house. Anna tossed rocks from a bridge and made exaggerated grunts, like her silly father, as she traversed the treacherous terrain of roots and rocks. She refused to come inside for lunch after our walk so Anna and I played out back with the hose. She was quick to shed her shoes and enjoy the mix of cool water and warm sun.
Today I thought we’d be stuck inside but the sun came out and we went to the beach at Lighthouse Point Park. We filled our shoes with sand as we dug, slid, swung, and climbed. Anna can’t get enough of being outside.
Spring semester, right before you turn two, is the perfect time to brush off the old physics lab manual. Here is Anna figuring out her friction and momentum problems with a shelf Jacob recently took off our wall. We put everything we could find down that ramp/slide: cars, dolls, balls, shapes, and almost Annas.
